Sakoli Assembly Election: In Maharashtra the bugle has sounded for the assembly elections and all the political parties are busy campaigning wholeheartedly. Voting will be held in a single phase on November 20 for all 288 state assembly seats. Of the 288 seats in the state, the Sakoli assembly seat is considered a close contest. Sakoli belongs to the Bhandara district of the state of Maharashtra. Its assembly constituency number is 62. This seat is also under discussion due to Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole. What is the political equation of the area?

There are around 3 lakh voters in Sakoli assembly constituency. Of these, male voters are more than 1 lakh 50 thousand and female voters are approximately 1 lakh 44 thousand. This seat has 18 per cent Dalit voters and around 8 per cent tribal voters. Additionally, there are also around 2 percent Muslim voters in the area.

Who is in conflict?

The main contest for the Sakoli assembly seat in Maharashtra is between Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress candidates. BJP has fielded Avinash Brahmankar from here. Result of the last elections

In the Maharashtra Assembly elections held in 2019, Congress candidate Nana Patole won from the Sakoli seat. He defeated his rival Dr Parinay Ramesh Phuke of the BJP by more than 6,000 votes. At the same time, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi’s servant Bhau Nirdhan Waghye was occupying the third position.
