(Palwal News) Palwal. Holding the tricolor in their hands and singing Vande Mataram, thousands of youth, women and elderly participated in the Unity Run on National Unity Day. At a district level program on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the country’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Minister of State for Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, Sports, Law and Legislation Gaurav Gautam marked the run by Netaji Subhash Chandra Unity. Earlier, upon arriving at the programme, State Minister Gaurav Gautam was received by Deputy District Commissioner Dr Harish Kumar Vashishtha, presenting him with a bouquet of flowers. On this occasion, MLA Hodal Harindra Singh, Zilla Parishad President Representative Manoj Rawat, Veerpal Dixit, Harendrapal Rana, Mahendra Bhadana and many councilors and workers were especially present.
The chief guest of the program and Minister of State for Sports Gaurav Gautam inaugurated the Run for Unity program by lighting the lamp in front of the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Addressing the gathering, he said that the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who united India divided into different princely states after the country’s independence, will be remembered for centuries. His extraordinary contribution to the nation can never be forgotten. The Minister of State also administered the Run for Unity oath to those in attendance.
