New Delhi: The Solvent Extractors Association of India has published the export figures for oilseeds ‘Flour’ for October 2024. In which an increase of 5% has been seen compared to October 2023. According to the association, in October In 2024, a total of 305,793 tons of oilseed meal were exported. While in October 2023 this figure was 289,931 tons.

However, the total export figure from October 2024 to April 2024 was lower than that of the same period last year. From April to October 2024, a total of 2,388,327 tons of oilseed meal were exported, compared to 2,566,051 tons in the same period last year. This shows a decrease of 7%, the main reason for which is said to be the decline in exports of ‘rapeseed meal’ and ‘castor flour’.

The Solvent Extractors Association of India said there has been an increase in exports of ‘soybean’ and ‘cottonseed meal’ in October, while decline in exports of ‘rapeseed’ and ‘castor’ meal has affected total exports. Despite this, the 5% growth in October is a positive sign, reflecting the strength of the Indian oilseeds industry and the growth in global demand.

Let us tell you that experts believe that this increase in exports is a relief for the Indian oilseeds industry and will further strengthen the competitiveness of Indian products in the global market.
