Rae Bareli police in Uttar Pradesh have registered a cyber crime case against a shameless officer. The police have taken this measure following a complaint from the wife of the accused officer. The officer allegedly sent her obscene messages on Instagram using a fake ID. When the girl threatened the accused in the message itself, he blocked the identification. After this, the victim’s wife reported the incident to the police. When the police cyber cell traced the IP of the accused’s mobile, it was revealed that the accused was none other than the victim’s own husband.
Following this, the police registered a case against the accused based on the victim’s complaint and started investigating the matter. The matter is from June 2024 in Bhadaicha of Kotwali city area. The victim Archana Devi, who lives here, said in the complaint filed with the police that she is married to constable Rakesh Kumar posted at the Rae Bareli police line. She had recently filed a dowry harassment case against her husband. While the police were investigating this case, obscene messages started arriving on his mobile from a handle named Gaurav Kumar.
The wife was worried about the defamation
According to the victim, these messages sometimes reached him personally and other times were made public. He was concerned about the notoriety that came from this. According to the victim, she refused the defendant several times to do so. He even threatened to take legal action against the accused. After this, the accused threatened to kill her and then blocked her identity document. Annoyed, the victim had filed a complaint against the accused at the cyber police station on June 21, 2024.
Police contacted from mobile phone location
While investigating this complaint, the police traced the IP of the accused’s mobile phone. During this time the location of the mobile phone was found on the police line. Later, the police reached the spot and questioned the accused. According to city Kotwal Narayan Kushwaha, a case has been registered against the accused based on the victim’s complaint. The police are investigating the whole matter.
