Sharad Pawar has given the first reaction after the crushing defeat of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance at the hands of Mahayuti in the Maharashtra elections. He said the results were not what we expected. But the public has given its verdict, there is no choice but to accept it. When asked about his retirement from politics, Sharad Pawar said, “My opponents will not decide it, my colleagues and I will decide what I should do.”

You have made me win elections every time, to raise the new generation I will have to stay somewhere.

I have no evidence to blame EVM: Sharad Pawar
Asked if Shiv Sena, UBT and Congress had raised doubts over EVMs after the MVA defeat, Sharad Pawar said: ‘I heard some colleagues talking about this, but I have no evidence that there was a problem with the EVMs. EVM. Therefore, I will not comment much. On the use of cash in the Maharashtra elections, he said, “I have heard people say that such use of the power of money has never been seen before.”
Maharashtra knows who NCP founder is: Sharad Pawar
Responding to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s ‘Bantenge to Katenge’ slogan, Sharad Pawar said, ‘From the way the UP CM commented, it is clear that the BJP wanted to polarize the elections.’ When asked if in this election Ajit Pawar proved that he has the real NCP, Sharad Pawar said, “I accept that Ajit Pawar has more seats than us, but Maharashtra knows who the founder of NCP is.”

Let us tell you that the contest in the Maharashtra Assembly elections was between two alliances – Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi. The grand alliance included the BJP, Shiv Sena-led Eknath Shinde and NCP-led Ajit Pawar. At the same time, MVA included Congress, Sharad Pawar led NCP-SP and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena-UBT. Mahayuti got 233 seats, MVA 49 and others got 6 seats. In the grand alliance, the BJP managed to win 132 seats, the Shiv Sena 57 and the NCP 41 seats. At the same time, in MVA – Shiv Sena UBT was limited to 20 seats, Congress to 16 and NCPSP to 10 seats.
