Former Indian cricket team opener Shikhar Dhawan has retired. This year he said goodbye to cricket. However, he is still seen playing in the retired players’ T20 league. He recently participated in Legends League Cricket i.e. LLC 2024, the final match of which was played in Srinagar. After this tournament, Shikhar Dhawan is eager to play in the T20 league again. The interesting thing is that this time it will be part of said league that will be organized in the neighboring country of India. Now you might be thinking that we are talking about Lanka Premier League or Bangladesh Premier League. If you are thinking like this then your assumption is not correct.
Actually, Shikhar Dhawan will be seen playing in the Nepal league and not in Sri Lanka or Bangladesh. Its official announcement has also been made. Nepal Premier League (NPL) franchise Karnali Yaks has roped in former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan for the upcoming edition. Dhawan, 38, will be Karnali’s fourth foreign player. Previously, the franchise also included West Indies’ Chadwick Walton, Pakistan’s Hussain Talat and Hong Kong’s Babar Hayat in its team.
Colonel Yax released VIDEO
Karnali Yaks posted a video on Instagram, in which Shikhar Dhawan is seen announcing his joining the Nepal Premier League. Dhawan said that he will come to play in the Nepal Premier League. He will be playing for Karnali Yaks and is excited to meet the people of Nepal. Apart from Shikhar Dhawan, Jimmy Neesham, Martin Guptill, Unmukt Chand and Ben Cutting will also play in the upcoming edition of the Nepal Premier League.
