Srigonda Seat Result 2024

Today is the day of counting of votes for the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024. In some time, counting of votes will begin in Shrigonda assembly seat and initial trends will start emerging. Along with the 288 seats of the Maharashtra Assembly, elections were also held in the Shrigonda seat on November 20. This time there is a contest between BJP and Shiv Sena (UBT) for the Shrigonda seat.

This time, Vikram Pachapute is contesting from Shrigonda seat on BJP ticket. While Shiv Sena (UBT) has fielded Anuradha Nagwade. The BJP won this seat for the first time in the 2019 elections. Babanrao Pachpute had won the last election on the BJP ticket. At the same time, this time his son Vikram Pachpute is trying his luck in elections for the first time.

Shrigonda assembly constituency is the traditional headquarters of Babanrao Pachpute. Babanrao Pachpute has a lot of influence in this seat. Of the total 9 elections held so far, he has won this seat 7 times. Babanrao is believed to have such control over this seat that whichever party he contests from wins. An example of this is the BJP’s first victory in the 2019 elections.

Babanrao’s son Vikram Pachpute is contesting elections for the first time from this seat. He is contesting against Shiv Sena’s (UBT) Anuradha Nagwade, who is also contesting the assembly elections for the first time. Anuradha Nagwade had joined Shiv Sena (UBT) just before the elections. Her husband, Rajendra Nagwade, had contested the elections as a BJP candidate in 2009. The contest between the two rivals who are contesting this seat for the first time is going to be interesting.

The Shrigonda assembly seat of Maharashtra falls in Ahmednagar district. Elections were held in this seat for the first time in 1980 and Babanrao Pachpute won. Since then it has become their stronghold. Apart from the Congress in 1999 and the NCP in 2014, Babanrao Pachpute has been the only one to hold this seat. This time it remains to be seen whether Vikram Pachpute will continue his father’s legacy or Shiv Sena will register victory here for the first time.
