Fifty-five people have been arrested for attacking officials during a protest against land acquisition for proposed units of pharmaceutical companies in a village in Telangana’s Vikarabad district. A senior police officer said ’55 people were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the incident. Police are investigating how many of them were involved in the attack. He said the BRS youth wing leader who had allegedly instigated people to this “pre-planned attack” is absconding.
