Method of worship of Lord Kartikeya
- Before worshiping on the day of Skanda Shashthi, purify your body by taking bath.
- Choose a clean place for puja and decorate it with flowers and lamps.
- Install the idol or image of Lord Kartikeya on a clean pedestal.
- Offer water to Lord Kartikeya.
- Light a ghee lamp and burn incense sticks or incense.
- Offer flowers to Lord Kartikeya. Especially offering lotus flower is considered auspicious.
- Offer fruits, sweets or other offerings to Lord Kartikeya.
- Chant the mantras of Lord Kartikeya.
