The national stock market, which started in the green for two consecutive days, began trading in the red on Wednesday. At 9:46 am, the benchmark Sensex index of the Bombay Stock Exchange was trading at the level of 79,905.55, with a fall of 98.91 points. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty was also trading at the level of 24,167.25 points with a decline of 27.25 points.
Who benefits the most and who loses?
M&M, Coal India, NTPC, BPCL and Wipro were the top gainers on the Nifty in early trade, while Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement, Cipla and Tata Steel were among the losers. According to Moneycontrol, among sectors, capital goods and energy increased by 0.5 to 1 percent, while sales were seen in consumer goods, metals, pharmaceuticals, power banks, oil and gas. The BSE Midcap index is down 0.3 per cent, while the Smallcap index is trading flat.
