The history of Rajputs has been bloody with many such battles. When two brothers from a dynasty fight each other for the throne. Currently, a similar fight has begun among the descendants of Maharana Pratap. In this, two brothers make their respective claims to the throne. In such a situation, do you know what is the reason for the fight for the throne? And who are the descendants of Maharana Pratap who claim Mewar?

The dispute between the descendants of Maharana Pratap came along the way.
Vishvaraj Singh Mewar was crowned king of the Mewar dynasty in Udaipur on Monday. After this, Vishvaraj Singh’s younger uncle Arvind Singh and his son Lakshyaraj Singh declared this coronation illegal. Since then the dispute between the two brothers took to the streets.

How old is the dispute for the throne?
To understand all this controversy, we will have to delve into the history of this royal family. Only in this way will it be possible to understand the entire controversy and its reason. The Chittorgarh fort of Mewar is the main base of the Mewar dynasty. There were many battles between the Mughals and Maharana Pratap over this fort. Today two brothers confront each other for the good of this fort. These two brothers are Vishwaraj Singh and Lakshya Raj Singh.

Vishwaraj Singh is the son of elder brother Mahendra Singh.
Vishvaraj Singh’s father’s name is Mahendra Singh and Lakshyaraj Singh’s father’s name is Arvind Singh Mewar. Mahendra Singh and Arvind Singh are true brothers. Mahendra Singh is older and Arvind Singh is younger. Let us tell you that his father’s name was Bhagwat Singh. Bhagwat Singh is officially considered the last Maharana. Because under the tradition of Mewar Gharana, he was declared Maharana.

The dispute over the throne is due to a trust
When the monarchy ended after independence, Bhagwat Singh formed a trust to carry forward the tradition of the royal family. Its name was ‘Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation’. The Mewar royal family began functioning through this trust. Bhagwat Singh handed over the responsibility of this trust to his youngest son, Arvind Singh. While the eldest son Mahendra Singh stayed away from this trust.

The royal family of Mewar is governed solely through trust
There have been disputes between Mahendra Singh and Arvind Singh many times regarding this matter. Since Arvind Singh heads the trust, after him the responsibility of this trust fell to his son Lakshyaraj Singh. Since then, the royal family has been run through this trust. Therefore, Arvind Singh claims that his son Lakshyaraj Singh is the rightful owner of the throne of the Mewar dynasty.

The younger brother assumed responsibility for the trust.
Here, Mahendra Singh, the eldest son of Bhagwat Singh. Due to this, he has always claimed the throne of the royal family and his son Vishvaraj Singh is also older than Lakshyaraj in relation. Therefore, with the support of close royal families, on November 25, Mahendra Singh declared his son Vishvaraj Singh as Maharana and crowned him. During this, all the traditions that take place during the coronation of Maharana were followed.

He claimed the throne as his older brother’s son.
Since then, Lakshyaraj Singh and his father Arvind Singh are furious and have called this entire coronation illegal. They say that when his father and the last Maharana Bhagwat Singh have handed over the responsibility of the royal family to Arvind Singh, then how can Mahendra Singh’s son Vishwaraj Singh declare himself a Maharana? Bhagwat Singh was declared Maharana by his father Bhupal Singh.
