Duroi: A tragic accident took place in the district early on Monday morning. Here, five people, including four women, died in a horrific collision between a car and a bus full of wedding guests. Four other people have been seriously injured in the accident. At the moment the injured have been admitted to the hospital, while the bodies have been sent for autopsy. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over this accident and extended condolences to the bereaved family.

Giving information about the incident, Additional Superintendent of Police Nripendra Kumar said that this accident occurred in Gauri Nagar of Mallawan Kotwali area. Drivers Seema (40), Pratibha (32), Ramlali (45), Pratibha (42) and Shubham died in the accident. According to police, a car carrying a wedding procession from Shivrajpur collided with a bus coming from Baghauli around 3 am in Gauri Nagar of Mallawan Kotwali area. Only the wedding guests were on the bus. Police said four other people were also injured in this incident, in view of whose critical condition they have been referred to Lucknow Medical College.
CM Yogi expressed regret
Police said that after the incident, the bodies of the deceased were sent for autopsy. The wounded are being treated there. After the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences over this accident. A statement in this regard has been issued by the state government. According to the statement issued, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed the district administration officials to immediately take the injured to the hospital and ensure their proper treatment. Apart from this, the Chief Minister is said to have expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. (entrance-agency)
