Supreme Court recognizes UP Madrasa Act, knows new rules
Muslim religious leaders have welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the validity of the ‘Uttar Pradesh Madrassa Education Board Act’. The court upheld the validity of the ‘Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Board Act’, 2004 and said that it does not violate the principle of secularism. A three-judge bench of the Supreme Court, while taking an important decision, declared the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Board Act, 2004 constitutional.
