In Surat, a brother-in-law stole 51,000 cash and 137.5 grams of gold jewelery from his brother-in-law’s house. The accused had asked his brother-in-law for twenty thousand rupees to buy a scooter, but the brother-in-law refused to give him the money. The accused subsequently committed the robbery. The police have arrested the accused youth. The accused youth said that he was carrying out this robbery incident slowly.

The accused had hidden the jewelery and money in a wall after the robbery and had plastered the wall with white cement. The Crime Branch team has recovered jewelery worth Rs 16.22 lakh hidden in the wall. The accused has been identified as Jaikumar Sureshbhai Bhandari (37), who was arrested by the police from Palanpur Green Canal Road, Surat.
