Sources said Fadnavis returned to the airport after attending the marriage ceremony of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s daughter. In fact, Mahayuti won a landslide victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The fight continues over who will be the CM after the victory. The term of the Maharashtra Assembly ends today. According to sources, Eknath Shinde will tender his resignation from the post of CM today.
After this, there is a constant suspense over who will be in control of Maharashtra. It is not decided at the moment whether Fadnavis will become the CM or Shinde will get the command or the power will go to someone else.
The BJP is the largest party in terms of seats.
The BJP has once again emerged as the largest party in the Maharashtra elections. The BJP, which contested the elections on 149 seats, won 132 seats. Shiv Sena won 57 seats and NCP won 41 seats. The BJP is the largest party so no decision has been taken yet on the face of the BJP Chief Minister. However, Fadnavis is considered to be the strongest candidate for the Chief Minister’s post.
Although Mahayuti had contested elections in Maharashtra under the leadership of Eknath Shinde, it was Fadnavis who was seen setting the political equations. With his strategy, Fadnavis has also given a record victory to the BJP and Mahayuti in the assembly elections. Fadnavis could not become Chief Minister in 2019 because Uddhav Thackeray had decided to break the alliance and go with the Congress and the NCP.
