Horrible road accident in Udupi, Karnataka
Udupi: A major case of road accident has come to light in Kundapura town of Udupi district of Karnataka. Seven passengers of the car were seriously injured in a collision between an insulation truck and an Innova car near Chandika Durga Parameshwari temple on National Highway 66 near Kumbhashi. The injured passengers have been admitted to Manipal Hospital. The driver of the truck has also been injured and has been admitted to hospital.
According to information, the Innova carrying seven passengers from Kerala was heading from Kundapur towards Udupi. Near the entrance of the Chandika Durga Parameshwari temple, the driver allegedly started turning the car backwards to enter the temple premises. At the same time, a Mangaluru-registered insulator truck carrying fish from Goa to Kerala collided with the Innova coming from behind. The collision was so strong that the Innova was completely damaged and the truck overturned.
