More than 200 vehicles in the convoy
According to Pakistan police, the van that was attacked by the terrorists contained Shia Muslims and the place where it was attacked is a Taliban-dominated area. The terrorists laid an ambush and attacked the vehicles. There are reports of more than 200 vehicles in the convoy. On the instructions of Chief Minister Ali Amin, the Law Minister and the Principal Secretary were sent to the venue (Kurram) along with a delegation. Chief Minister Ali Amin has also instructed officials to secure all roads in the province. He also expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Financial aid has also been announced.
Army checkpoint was attacked on Tuesday night
On Tuesday night this week, terrorists carried out a suicide attack on a Pakistan Army check post in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and 12 soldiers were killed in this attack. The army also killed six terrorists in retaliation. According to the Pakistani army, the terrorists had crashed a vehicle packed with explosives into the wall of the army checkpoint. After this, 12 army soldiers were hit by the explosion.
