He alleges that the administration used all its force to make him lose the election. At the same time, an attempt was made to assassinate him and the party workers. Actually, Anil Vij had contested the Ambala Cantt state elections and won.
He said, ‘The administration did everything possible to defeat Anil Vij. It is a matter of investigation under whose instructions this was done. I am not making direct accusations against anyone. The municipality prevented us from building the roads authorized by us. Now his work began. There was no tender, how did it start now? If their tenders had been made earlier, they could also have been made in the elections. There is no violation of the code of conduct anywhere, but work was stopped.
He said: ‘All work stopped during the elections. Even this matter is not limited. I will definitely share it with you. They also tried to ensure that there was some bloodshed in these elections and that Anil Vij died or one of Anil Vij’s workers died so that they could influence these elections.
In this year’s assembly elections, BJP leader Anil Vij had to face a tough fight from independent candidate Chitra Sarwara. Vij got 59,858 votes, while Chitra got 52,581 votes. Vij defeated Chitra by a margin of 7,277 votes. At the same time, the Congress had fallen to third place. Its candidate, Parvinder Pal, got only 14,469 votes. His performance was more disappointing than expected. Apart from this, only 2,863 votes went to Omkar Singh of the Indian National Lok Dal.
