In Ughaiti police station area of UP’s Badaun district, police on Friday recovered the bodies of a mother and her son whose noses were bleeding and their bodies had turned blue. Police said it probably appears to be a case of suicide. He said the bodies of Nanhi Devi (70), a resident of Sarai Sawal village, and her son Prem Shankar (42) were recovered from their house. Police said there was no one else in their family.
There was no injury mark on the body.
SSP Brijesh Singh said the cause of death is still unclear. He reported that the bodies of both lay blue, there were no marks of wounds on the body and blood also came from the nose, hence it seems that both had probably committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance. Singh said police are investigating many aspects and have sent the bodies for autopsy. He said the cause of death will be clear only after the post-mortem report arrives. According to the police, Nanhi Devi has a daughter, Longshree, who lives in Himachal Pradesh. Neighbors told police that Laungshree Bhaiya had attacked Dooj and then returned.
Premi Shankar got married 10 years ago
Villagers said Prem Shankar got married about 10 years ago. After a year or two his wife left him. Prem Shankar’s father has died. Before his death, he had handed over his four bighas of land to Prem Shankar and his daughter Longshree. Because he couldn’t survive on two bighas, he started driving an electric rickshaw. Due to Prem Shankar’s drinking, he and his mother Premvati often quarreled, but neither of them had enmity with anyone. He has also not had a fight with anyone to date. Devi, the son of Prem Shankar’s uncle Bhagwant, said he had seen Premvati washing clothes on Wednesday night. After which she was not seen.
