Shimla. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday released the book ‘Biography of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’ written by Dr Rakesh Kumar Sharma at Oak Over, Shimla. Appreciating the efforts of the author, the Chief Minister said that through this book, readers will get the opportunity to deeply understand the personality of Sardar Patel, his role in India’s freedom struggle and his important contribution towards building of the nation.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma resides in Hamirpur district and is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Sardar Patel University, Mandi. Dr Sharma, who worked as a researcher at the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), New Delhi, has written important books on the life of Sardar Patel and his contribution to the nation, including ‘Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel: Life Introduction to Philosophy and Nation Building’ (2022), ‘Biography of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’ (2024) and ‘Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel: Swaraj Struggle and Integration national. Bhumika’ (2023).
On this occasion, MLA Chandrashekhar, former minister Thakur Kaul Singh, Vice Chancellor of Sardar Patel University, Mandi, Prof. Lalit Kumar Awasthi, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma’s wife Rekha Sharma, and their daughters Swastika and Arjika.
