To ensure that the recount of the Katehari assembly by-election is completed safely as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, District Election Officer Avinash Singh along with Superintendent of Police Dr. Kaustubh took stock of preparations by conducting a Site Inspection of the counting site of Government Engineering College, Akbarpur. During the inspection it was found that all preparations were complete. During this, the District Electoral Officer informed that the counting of votes for the Katehari Assembly by-election will be done in 31 rounds in a total of 14 polling stations. A total of 56 people have been deployed for this. The counting of votes will begin at 8 a.m. on November 23. The counting of votes will be carried out under surveillance of closed circuit television cameras. Extensive security measures have been put in place in preparation for the vote counting. During it, the district electoral official took stock of the disposition at the different counting tables, press centers, etc. During the inspection, Deputy District Election Officer Dr Sadanand Gupta, Additional Superintendent of Police Vishal Pandey and other concerned officers were present.
