Jhansi: The fire in the medical college has shocked the entire area. Since the fire that broke out in the medical school’s NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) room on November 15, 17 newborns have died so far.
Two more children died during treatment late in the night of November 23, raising the death toll to 17. Of these, 7 children died during treatment. This tragic incident has raised serious questions about the functioning of the administration and the health department.
The investigation into the case is continuing and the families of the victims are demanding justice and strict action against the culprits.
