A shocking case has come to light in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. Here we saw great negligence on the part of the doctors. Doctors declared one person dead at the district’s largest government hospital, Bhagwan Das Khaitan (BDK). It was kept in the freezer for two hours. His body was delivered to the members of the organization along with the post-mortem report. When they placed him on the funeral pyre, his body began to move.
He was immediately taken to the same hospital where he was pronounced dead. He is now receiving treatment in the hospital’s ICU. After the matter came to light, there was an uproar in the health department. Following an investigation, suspension measures have been taken against negligent doctors. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. Following the incident, three doctors have been suspended for negligence.
Doctors declared him dead after the ECG report was flat.
Banwari, director of Maa Seva Sansthan, said Rohitash, 25, is missing. Since September 2024, he has been living in the rehabilitation center of the institute for the disabled. When his health deteriorated on Thursday afternoon, he was taken to BDK hospital. Here the doctors performed CPR and an ECG. When the ECG report turned out to be flat, doctors declared him dead. His body was kept in the morgue for autopsy. Rohitash’s body was kept in the freezer of the mortuary for about 2 hours.
Put on the pyre, it came to life
According to Banwari, his body was handed over to them after the autopsy around 5 pm. He took her to the cremation ground to receive the last rites. Here, when the corpse was placed on the pyre, it began to move, which shocked everyone. The organization’s staff immediately took him back to BDK Hospital. At 6:24 p.m., Rohitash was admitted to the ICU, where his treatment continues.
Collector ordered investigation
After this matter came to light, district officials were shocked. Collector Ramavatar Meena formed an inquiry committee. On the orders of the collector, Tehsildar Mahendra Mund, deputy director of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Pawan Poonia, also reached the hospital. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the doctors’ meeting continued late into the night in the presence of Dr Sandeep Pachar of the PMO at the hospital. After the meeting all the officials returned to the Collector. The meeting continued there as well.
Three doctors suspended
In this matter, late at night, on the recommendation of district collector Ramavatar Meena, the government’s principal secretary of the Medical and Health Department, Nisha Meena, suspended the PMO of BDK hospital, Dr Sandeep Pachar, the Dr. Yogesh Kumar Jakhar and Dr. Navneet Meel. Dr. Jakhar works in Mandela, but according to the employment agreement, he was posted to BDK. During the suspension period, Dr. Pachar was posted at CMHO Head Office in Jaisalmer, Dr. Jakhar was posted at CMHO Head Office in Barmer and Dr. Navneet Meel was posted at CMHO Head Office in Jalore.
