The goal of the YOGI government is to make a safe, organized and fire-free event a success…

Prayagraj: The Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken important decisions to make the upcoming Mahakumbh 2025 safe and fire free. Various restrictions and guidelines have been issued with the aim of preventing fire incidents at the fair, to ensure the safety of devotees and institutions. Taking a lesson from the previous incidents, this time the yogi government has completely banned the use of unauthorized equipment like heaters, blowers and dipping rods in Kalpavasis shops. With strict adherence to the rules at Mahakumbh 2025, the government aims to ensure a safe, orderly and fire-free event.

Rigor in electrical safety

The Department of Electricity and Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) have issued strict guidelines on the use of electricity at the fair. Mahakumbh superintending engineer Manoj Gupta said that the use of equipment like heaters, blowers and dipping rods has been completely banned at the Mahakumbh fair. This measure has been taken to avoid fire incidents. It has been seen in the past that in most of the fire incidents during the fair, short circuit was the main reason due to heater or fan.

Measures will be taken against Katia

Executive Engineer Anoop Sinha said that apart from heaters, blowers and dip rods, there will also be a strict ban on the use of electricity by installing Katiyas at the fair. If he is found to have done so, strict action will be taken against the institution concerned. Apart from this, if any organization tampers with the wiring of the electrical department and a fire breaks out due to it, the entire responsibility for the same will be on that organization. These institutions could also be banned in the future.

It is mandatory to follow safety regulations.

Entities have been instructed that if they carry out the wiring themselves, the work must comply with safety standards. Use of MCB and conduit pipe will be mandatory for wiring. Along with this, the institution must obtain the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Electrical Safety after wiring. The aim of these measures by the government is to make Mahakumbh 2025 completely safe and fire-free. This time Mahakumbh will be an event where safety norms will be completely followed, so that thousands of devotees can participate in the religious event without any fear.
