According to police, the marriage of a 28-year-old girl living here was arranged with a 30-year-old youth living in Akhandnagar police station area. This marriage was to take place on Sunday, November 17, 2024. The wedding procession arrived at the agreed time and the girl’s side extended great hospitality to the wedding guests. Meanwhile, Jaimal passed by and the girl entered.

After Jaimal, the bride refused to marry

Here, after tea and breakfast, when the girl was called for the next ritual, she refused to marry. She said that she is a graduate and that the boyfriend is mentally retarded and also failed the 10th. Hearing this, there was an uproar in the wedding hall. The elders on both sides argued all night, but the girl clearly said that she would not ruin her life by marrying an illiterate man. When the matter was not resolved until the end, the girl’s side asked the boy’s side to settle the accounts.

Agreement reached in the presence of the police

Both sides came face to face regarding this. In the end, the matter reached the police and it was decided that the transaction amount would be refunded. The child will have to pay the tilak expenses. After this, the girl’s father will also return the jewelry gifted for the wedding. After this the procession returned. In this regard, the girl’s family refused to speak to the media. The boy’s father said this commotion happened over a pair of slippers and a bracelet.
