The wedding procession from Mumbai to Guwahati faced a strange crisis near Howrah. When they were about 15 kilometers from Howrah, the head of the procession realized that there were many elderly people and children in the procession who could not move from one platform to another in a hurry and catch another train. In such a situation, procession chief Chandrashekhar Bagh sought help from Divisional Railway Manager Howrah and Senior MCD Howrah through Twitter.

Railway officials created a special corridor.

Both the officers directed to provide necessary assistance to their subordinate employees at Howrah station. So what happened? As soon as the Gitanjali Express reached the Howrah station, the railway employees and officials together created a special corridor and the 35 people in the wedding procession were transported from platform number 21 of the New Complex to platform number 9 of the Old Complex in little time. He gave help. Four drum carts and wheelchairs were also provided for the older members of the procession. More than a dozen railway employees participated in the wedding procession.

Minister of Railways thanked railway employees

Thanks to special arrangements made at the railway station, all members of the wedding procession managed to catch the 12345 Sarighat Express and reached the bride’s house on time. Following this, Chandrashekhar Bagh, head of the procession, thanked the Railway Minister, Railway officials and employees on Twitter.
