Giving a bribe in a box of sweets to IAS and CEO Anshuman Raj, posted in the District Panchayat of Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district, proved costly. As soon as the information about the bribe was received, the district Panchayat CEO informed the SP and sent the leaders who handed over the envelope with the sweet box to the police station.
Actually, district Panchayat CEO Anshuman Raj was looking after the departmental work. Meanwhile, Vinod Tripathi, a resident of Raghunathpur in Sidhi district, came with a box of sweets with a request.
When the CEO saw a box of candy and an envelope along with the application, he asked what was in the envelope. As soon as the CEO got information about the money along with the box of sweets, he asked his security personnel and servant to make Netaji sit outside.
After this, he immediately spoke to district superintendent of police Ravindra Verma. Soon after, the Kotwali police reached the spot and took Vinod Tripathi, who was handing over the envelope, to the police station for questioning.
At the same time, a former District Panchayat member present with him became nervous as he felt the gravity of the occasion. Following the complaint of District Panchayat CEO Anshuman Raj, the police took Vinod Tripathi and a former District Panchayat member to the police station.
The application was intended to give financial burden to the employment assistant.
Following the complaint of Manoj Kumar Shukla, secretary posted at Gram Panchayat Raghunathpur, the CEO had put an end to the financial burdens. Sweets and an envelope with letterhead written in the name of the Sarpanch had arrived to provide financial burden to the employment assistant posted in the Gram Panchayat. In which the CEO got Netaji arrested.
