Ordering the demolition of Takiya Masjid built at Baghpat village in Rajpur Khampur, a fine of Rs 4.12 lakh was also imposed on Mutawalli. The court has accepted that this mosque is built on the pond land. The mosque built 50-60 years ago on the pond land of Rajpur Khampur village will be demolished. The orders were issued after a hearing in the Tehsildar court. Besides, the Tehsildar also imposed a fine of Rs 4.12 lakh on the mutawalli of the mosque.
Mosque built occupying land
In fact, Gulshar Malik, a resident of Rajpur Khampur village, had filed a special petition in the High Court on July 29. In this, Gulshar alleged that by occupying the village pond land, Mutawalli built a Takiyawali Masjid. It was demanded that this construction be removed as it was considered illegal. Describing the construction as an illegal encroachment, the High Court ordered its removal during hearing on the basis of the Revenue Code and along with a copy of the High Court order, Gulshar filed a complaint with the DM.
The accountant and Kanungo measured and sent their report to Tehsildar.
DM directed Baghpat Tehsildar to investigate and take action. After this, the accountant and Kanungo made the measurements and sent their report to the Tehsildar, on the basis of which a case was registered in the Tehsildar court and hearing commenced. Following this, a notice was also issued to the Mutawalli Fariyad of the mosque to produce evidence and a fine of Rs 4.12 lakh was imposed on the Mutawalli Fariyad and ordered to pay the execution charges of Rs 5,000.
Anger among villagers after order to demolish mosque
There is anger among the townspeople after the order to tear down the mosque. And the women have made a fuss and said they will not allow the mosque to be torn down under any circumstances, no matter what they have to do. A committee will be formed to eliminate the invasion. A committee of revenue officials will be formed and a deadline will also be fixed for demolishing the mosque. After this, the formed committee will go to Rajpur Khampur village and take steps to demolish the mosque.
