Prayagraj Mahakumbh 2025: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is determined to give a grand and divine form to the Mahakumbh, which will be organized in Prayagraj in 2025. For this, all administrative departments are making preparations on a war footing. The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Department is also carrying out various campaigns for devotees and tourists coming to Mahakumbh so that visitors do not face any problem. Preparation of road porters for Mahakumbh is part of this series.
Devotees will feel good
This time, the administration has estimated that more than 41 million devotees and tourists will reach Kumbh Nagri during the public faith gathering at Prayagraj. Most of these visitors will reach Prayagraj by bus. The expectation of the Highways is that these devotees arriving at Kumbh Nagri will not face any inconvenience when they reach the bus station. To make visitors have a good experience from here, the State Road Transport Department is also preparing porters for the roads. MK Trivedi, regional manager of Roadways, Prayagraj region, says that the first contact of passengers on reaching the Roadways bus station is with the Roadways doormen. In such a situation, special training will be given to road porters. This will include a campaign to provide porters with basic information on means and routes to reach Mahakumbh, besides behaving well with passengers.
Preparation to make road porters smart
After completing your journey, when you reach Prayagraj Roadways bus stop with your luggage, you will find a Roadways porter ready to serve you as a railway platform near the bus. According to the regional manager, they will initially be forced to work in two shifts of eight hours each. They have also been provided with their uniforms and badges. Instead of the red uniform of the railway porters, they have been assigned blue pants as their uniform. These porters carry a brass plate on their arm on which their identification number is written. Roadways has commissioned them after carefully examining their identity and behavior. The porters are given badges only after verifying their Aadhar card and criminal records. In the first batch, 16 road porters are being prepared for this service at the Civil Lines Roadways bus stand.
The service will be especially useful for elderly people and disabled passengers.
