Railway The board on Friday said 2.5 lakh public complaints were resolved in the month-long cleanliness drive. 1,065 MP referrals were cleared and revenue of Rs 452 million was collected through scrap removal. The Railway Board said in a statement that the Ministry of Railways has successfully completed the cleanliness initiative ‘Special Campaign 4.0’ launched on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. The recently concluded campaign was designed to promote a culture of cleanliness, improve organizational efficiency and engage employees and public across Indian Railways in a meaningful way.
He earned 452 million rupees by selling garbage
The Railway Board said that a total of 56,168 cleaning programs were carried out across Indian railways, which focused on workplace hygiene and cleanliness of railway stations. During this period, 12.15 lakh sq ft of space was freed up through garbage removal and revenue of Rs 452.40 crore was generated.
Chaupal Railway Special was organized
During the campaign, Railways resolved 1,065 MP referrals, addressed 138 state government referrals, removed 65 of 69 PMO referrals, resolved 2.5 lakh public grievances and 1,427 public grievance appeals. The Board said Rail Chaupal’s organization helped in community participation. Special Railway Chaupals were organized at major railway stations like New Delhi, Jaipur, Chennai, Nagpur, Kota, Jodhpur, Lucknow, Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata.
