‘The Sabarmati Report’ movie goes tax-free in Gujarat

Vikrant Massey’s film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ released in theaters on November 15. This film was appreciated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah. Meanwhile, now the Gujarat government has also declared that this film based on the 2002 Godhra train fire incident is tax-free in the state. Authorities reported this decision on Thursday. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel took this decision after watching the film.

CM Patel watched the film in the cinema hall.

On Wednesday night, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel watched the film in a theater along with its producer Ekta Kapoor, Bollywood actor Jitendra, actress Riddhi Dogra and Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi. “The Chief Minister appreciated the film and decided to make it tax-free in Gujarat,” an official statement said. Apart from this, earlier this week Rajasthan, Haryana, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh also declared this film duty free. With the film duty-free, ticket prices are likely to drop, allowing more audiences to see it.

The film is made on the Godhra fire incident.

The film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is based on the fire incident in a compartment of the Sabarmati Express train near Godhra station on February 27, 2002, in which 59 people died. Most of the dead were kar sevaks. Following this incident, widespread riots broke out in Gujarat, which became a sensitive issue in the history of the state and the country.

Sabarmati report also made tax free in UP

At the same time, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath came to watch the movie The Sabarmati Report today. During this time, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and other leaders were present with him. After this, it was also announced that this film will be tax free in Uttar Pradesh.
