Maharani Laxmibai Medical College is in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. A big fire broke out here on Friday night. In the accident, 10 newborn children died and 45 suffered burns. Of them, 16 children are admitted to the emergency department. First, smoke rose in the pediatric ward (SNCU) of the Faculty of Medicine, no one understood anything and soon flames began to emerge in the pediatric ward. At the same time, this accident also exposed the situation of the hospital. Firefighters are still busy extinguishing the fire at the hospital.
Despite the fire in the children’s room, the security alarm did not sound. People have said that if the security alarm had been activated in time, such a serious incident would not have happened. There was only one door out of the children’s room, but at the time of the accident, flames were rising from the door. In such a situation, even those outside could not enter to save the children.

According to information, rescue work to rescue the children started about half an hour after the fire broke out, DM Avinash Kumar said that the children trapped inside could not be saved, the children outside were saved.

In Jhansi Maharani Lakshmi Bai Medical College there is a separate nursery room for boys, in which only 52 children can be admitted. During the fire, many children were transformed in the stampede; he who had parents a girl got a boy and parents who had a boy got a girl.
CM Yogi took notice of the accident
The cause of the fire is believed to have been an explosion in the oxygen cylinder. CM Yogi has learned about the accident. Orders have been given to carry out relief work. All agents including DM are present at the scene. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. DM said all the injured children are being monitored. He also said that an investigation team has been formed, which will give its report. After the fire at the medical school, family members are seen crying. A large team of doctors from Kanpur has been sent to Jhansi. On CM’s instructions, Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak and Principal Secretary Health also contacted Jhansi.
