12 players have bagged a spot in the main roster of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
The 18th season of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL will be played in the year 2025, before that a mega auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on November 24 and 25 for the which preparations are being made at great speed. This time a total of 1574 players including Indian and foreign players had registered their names for the mega auction after which the names of the shortlisted players have now been revealed and a total of 574 players have been included in the mega auction. Of them, there are 12 players who have been included in the list of star players. While 7 Indian players are included in this, 5 foreign players have a place.
Names from Rishabh Pant to Shreyas Iyer are included
The Indian players who have found a place in the list of notable players for the IPL 2025 mega auction include the names of Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj. All these players have been included in the list of featured players at a base price of Rs 2 crore. Shreyas Iyer, under whose captaincy the Kolkata Knight Riders team lifted the trophy in IPL 2024, has not been retained by the franchise this time. Apart from this, all eyes will also be on Rishabh Pant, who this time will be part of the auction in which he is the first choice for many teams.

Foreign players who have bagged a spot in the main list for the mega auction include the names of Kagiso Rabada, South Africa’s David Miller, England’s Liam Livingston and Jos Buttler and Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc. Of these, David Miller is the only player who has kept his base price at Rs 1.50 crore; Apart from this, the base price of the remaining four players is Rs 2 crore.
