Desk : Today, starting at 7 in the morning, voting will take place on 9 UP seats. In which the Electoral Commission has published the percentage of votes until 3 in the morning. 49% in Mirapur seat, 43.64% in Majhwa seat, 39% in Khair seat, 36.58% in Phulpur seat, 49.70% in Kunderki seat, 20.71% in Karhal seat, 49.43% in Katehari seat, 27.36% in Ghaziabad seat and in Sisamau seat 40.29% voting has been recorded.

By-elections are being held for these seats.

In total 90 candidates in the running

A total of 90 candidates are trying their luck in these by-elections. The maximum number of 14 candidates come from Ghaziabad assembly constituency while the minimum number of 5 candidates each come from Khair (reserved) and Sisamau seats. In the last assembly elections (2022), the SP won seats in Sisamau, Katehari, Karhal and Kundarki, while the BJP won seats in Phulpur, Ghaziabad, Majhwan and Khair. The Meerapur seat was held by the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), which has now become an ally of the BJP. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has fielded its candidates for Ghaziabad, Kundarki and Meerapur seats, while Chandrashekhar’s Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) has fielded candidates for all seats except Sisamau.
