A video of trampling on the muffler (exhaust) of a bicycle has emerged in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. In this video you can see that hundreds of silencers remain in the middle of the road. A bulldozer (roller) passes over these aligned mufflers. As soon as the bulldozer lowers, the mufflers stick to the road. The decision to crush the silencer with a steamroller was taken by the Andhra Pradesh police themselves. According to the police, the destroyed silencers were modified and made a lot of noise.
The police destroyed these mufflers in the middle of the road with the sole objective of raising awareness among people about noise pollution and motivating them to follow traffic rules. In addition to this, Joe felt that he wanted to install such a modified muffler on his car. They become afraid of the police and avoid doing so.
Noise pollution is a big problem
Noise pollution has become a big problem in India. There is a lot of noise especially on the roads. The main reason for this is the vehicle horns. In India, people have a strong tendency to honk unnecessarily. For this, Indian drivers are mocked all over the world. The owner of Taiwanese company Gorgoro Electric Bike had said during the launch of the vehicle in India that Indians use horns like radar.
In addition to horns, modified mufflers are also a major cause of noise pollution. Especially on vehicles like the Bullet, people install modified mufflers, which produce a lot of noise. This causes a lot of problems for other people walking on the street. Apart from this, the trend of bursting firecrackers through vehicles has also increased. Many times naughty people do this in busy areas or under bridges. Accidents also occur due to this. To stop these incidents, Andhra Pradesh Police has taken this step.
