Dubai. ICC has released the latest T20 rankings after the recently played T20 series between India and South Africa. India’s star batsman Tilak Verma has jumped 69 places to third position after scoring two consecutive centuries. At the same time, India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has become the world’s number one T20 all-rounder by defeating England’s Liam Livingstone. Besides Livingstone, Hardik left behind Nepali Deependra Singh Airi.
This is the second time that Hardik has reached the number one spot in the T20 all-rounders list. In the latest ICC rankings, Australia’s Marcus Stoinis is ranked fourth and former Sri Lankan captain Wanindu Hasaranga is ranked fifth. Tilak Verma was the series’ leading run-scorer with 280 runs. He is currently behind Australian Travis Head in first place and England’s Phil Salt in second place in the standings. Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav has fallen one place behind him i.e. in the fourth position. Apart from this, Sanju Samson, who scored two centuries in the T20 series against South Africa, moved up 17 places to reach the 22nd position in the T20 batsmen’s list. At the same time, fast bowler Arshdeep Singh gained three places to reach the ninth position. This is the best ranking of his career.
Nitish to debut from Perth Test!
Perth. Indian team bowling coach Morne Morkel has indicated that 21-year-old all-rounder Nitish Reddy can make his debut in the first Test match against Australia in Perth.
