Ranchi. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that this state belongs to tribals and only they (tribals) will govern it. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) working president Soren criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that no Hindu is in danger in the state, but the opposition party is only trying to create tension here through its speech Hindu-Muslim.
Addressing a public meeting at Chotanagra in West Singhbhum district, he said that we fought to make Jharkhand a separate state and we will also fight to ensure our rights. Jharkhand belongs to tribals, so only tribals will rule here. According to the 2011 census, the total population of Jharkhand is 32,988,134. Of them, 26.21 percent (8,645,042) are tribal. Except Raghubar Das, all the chief ministers of the state formed in 2000 belonged to the tribal community. Soren said his government has done a good job with public cooperation and will continue to do the same in the future. The Chief Minister claimed, “The BJP along with the CBI and ED are scaring me and even sent me to jail on false charges. But I am the son of the land of Jharkhand. I am not afraid nor do I ever bow down. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Soren on January 31 in a money laundering case related to the land scam, however, he was released after obtaining bail from the High Court. Elections for 81 Jharkhand assembly seats will be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, while the results will be announced on November 23.
