On Friday, on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Lord Birsa Munda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Jamui district of Bihar to participate in the Tribal Pride Day programme. Prime Minister Modi will also unveil a commemorative coin and postage stamp in honor of Lord Birsa Munda. Prime Minister Modi has said that Lord Birsa Munda ji sacrificed everything to protect the honor and glory of the motherland. My deepest respects to him on the auspicious occasion of his birth anniversary, ‘Tribal Pride Day’.
Gift worth more than 6,640 million rupees
On the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects worth over Rs 6,640 crore aimed at improving tribal communities and infrastructure in rural and remote areas of the region .
