Giving information, the police spokesperson said that to curb illegal drug trafficking in Yamunanagar district, special drives are being carried out continuously against illegal drug dealers. Under these drives, the police took strict action against those involved in buying and selling of any kind of illegal narcotics and started taking further action by registering a case under the NDPS Act.

Jaswinder, in-charge of the anti-narcotics cell, said that his police team led by SI Rishipal, who was present at Radaur police station in Palaka Mode Jagudi Road area while carrying out narcotics intelligence duties, the team obtained secret information for which works Rajan Kumar, a resident of Khajuri village. he sells heroin and even today he travels on motorcycle number HR 92A-4141 from Yamuna Nagar via Dhaundag village to Khajuri Kachha road and will go to his Khajuri village with heroin.

Based on the information, the team immediately started blockade on Jagudi Road near Goyal Brick Kiln. During the blockade, after about 10/15 minutes, a person on a motorcycle was seen coming along the unpaved road from Dhaundag village, who was stopped and controlled with the help of his colleagues. During interrogation, he identified himself as Rajan Kumar, son of Rajendra Kumar, a resident of Radaur police station in Khajuri village. Registered officer Mr. Ashish Chaudhary, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Radaur, was called to the spot.

When he was searched by an officer, 10 grams of intoxicant heroin (Smack) was recovered from the defendant. A case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act and he was arrested. After in-depth investigation into the case, Rajan’s accused co-criminal Ifzal Khan, son of Mohammad Iqbal, a resident of Dudhla village, Yamunanagar, was also arrested. The accused were produced before the court and brought to justice. The police are currently investigating the matter further.
