MLA Chhotela Verma, MLA Chaudhary Babulal and MLA Purushottam Khandelwal had no place on the stage. Both MLA Babulal and Chhotalala Verma became very angry over this. In the middle of the programme, both MLAs scolded the organisers. Babulal even talked about boycotting the show. Seeing the matter getting worse, MLA Purushottam Khandelwal pacified both the MLAs.

Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar gave a clarification

On the incident, Uttar Pradesh government minister Om Prakash Rajbhar clarified the controversy of two BJP MLAs not getting a place on the stage. He said that there was no major problem in this matter, but the problem was only about the stage space. He said more than 35 MLAs were invited to the event, though the stage was small. For this reason, arrangements were made for the MLAs to sit on the sofa below. The minister also said that there was no opposition to giving place to women MLAs on the bench as there is 33 per cent reservation for women and there is no shame in it.
