Ambala News | GMN School | Ambalá. The Department of Sociology of the university organized a two-day workshop on Research Methodology in collaboration with the CRC Unit under the leadership of the Director of the University, Dr. Rohit Dutt, at the Gandhi Memorial National College, Ambala Cantonment.

The topic of the first day of the workshop was “Presentation”. Head of the Department of Sociology, Prof. Mandeep Kaur, while giving brief information related to the topic to all the students who participated in the workshop, said that the presentation is a slide-based visual aid for storytelling.

It is used to convey information and emotions to an audience through visual, verbal and textual communication. The purpose of a presentation is to help the audience understand a topic. Presentations are used in business, education, and entertainment.

Focus on important points for a good presentation: Dr. Bharti Sujan

Elaborating on the topic, Dr Bharti Sujan, Coordinator, CRC Unit, said that an effective presentation enhances the perceived credibility and professionalism of the presenter and his content. He explained to the students that before giving a presentation, they should start by writing down the important points and preparing an outline.

Get your presentation off to a good start and use storytelling techniques on your slides. A good presentation conveys information from the speaker to the audience. College Principal Dr Rohit Dutt motivated the students to use digital presentation in all their subjects.

More than 40 students benefited from the workshop

After the learning session, all the students demonstrated their talent by giving an excellent presentation on the importance of Yoga. More than 40 students benefited from this workshop. In successfully conducting the programme, Dr. Saroj, Prof. Shivani Nijhawan, Prof. Srishti Kapoor and Prof. Archana Jain made important contributions. All members of the CRC Unit were especially present in this program.
