This slapping incident has fulfilled the proverb of stealing the kajal from the eyes. Two lakh rupees disappeared from the cupboard located near the seller and he did not even notice. This incident is said to have occurred on Wednesday at the petrol pump located on Civil Line. According to Ashwani Pandey, Kotwali city official, the seller had kept his collection in an iron kiosk-like cupboard near the petrol pump. He had kept the money there and hung it with a padlock. At that moment two thugs approached him. One told the seller that there was some money lying on the road. The salesman’s attention turned to the road.
