Gorakhpur: A case has been registered against a 16-year-old minor for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl in Kushinagar district. The police gave this information on Saturday. According to police, this embarrassing incident occurred on Friday in a village under Ramkola police station area. Police said the accused, a 16-year-old boy, lived in the neighborhood of the girl’s house and the five-year-old girl used to call him uncle and play with him. The police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act.
Girl raped and threatened
Regarding the incident, Khadda area police officer (CO) of Kushinagar district Umesh Chand Bhatt said that the accused teenager is currently under police guard until legal action is taken. He said that the accused cajoled the teenager and took her to a room, where he committed this atrocious act. The officer said he threatened the girl and warned her to keep quiet about the incident, but the girl was in pain and told the whole story to her mother.
Younger teenager lives in the neighborhood
He said that it was only when the mother took the girl to the doctor that she learned the whole story. Bhatt said that after getting information about the matter, the girl’s father lodged a complaint with the police. The girl has been admitted to the regional hospital. He said the girl’s father owns a tea shop, while the accused Kishore works as a barber. He lives with his two sisters in the girl’s neighborhood. The officer assured that rigorous action will be taken after investigating the case and said that the girl’s medical examination has been completed and her treatment continues.
