President of the United States, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris
Kamala Harris has lost the US election, but her team continues to raise donations. An email sent by Harris’ team said: “The light of America’s promise will continue to shine as long as we continue to fight. At the same time, there are still many important elections across the country that are pending very close results or facing recounts or some legal challenges. For this we need funds.”
This money is raised through a campaign called ‘Harris Fight Fund’. Harris Fight Fund is the new name of the pre-election campaign ‘Harris Victory Fund’. In the email, Harris’ campaign did not provide any information about how much of its funds are still needed.

Donations to Kamala Harris’ campaign are now being funneled into a recount initiative, as the fine print on the ActBlue platform reveals. The move suggests funds are being allocated to challenge the outcome of the election, in which Donald Trump won a decisive victory. pic.twitter.com/ZytnHCnCkZ

Billions of dollars raised during elections
According to one report, Harris’ campaign had raised many times more donations than Trump’s campaign. While Harris received approximately $1 billion in donations, Trump received only approximately $39 million in donations. Although Harris’ campaign was unsuccessful, it turned out to be the most expensive campaign in American history.
Harris’ team is short on money
Harris’ campaign financial crisis shows that despite the election loss, her fundraising efforts continue. Harris campaign finance director Patrick Stouffer said there were no outstanding bills or debts as of voting day and that no debt would be mentioned in upcoming financial reports. However, there is no clarity on the financial situation of the campaign and payments are still pending from some suppliers.
Regarding Harris’ call for donations, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) made it clear that it will no longer donate to Harris’ campaign, but also refused to completely withdraw from it.
