Faheem alias Atim, who was involved in many incidents ranging from murders in Galshaheed area of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh to robberies in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh and Goa, has been arrested. Faheem, who was carrying a reward of Rs 2,50,000, has been arrested by the STF team from Moradabad’s Galshaheed area.
Faheem alias ATM was released on parole from Sitapur District Jail on May 29, 2023. After completing parole on August 21, 2023, Faheem was due to return to Sitapur District Jail under judicial custody , but he didn’t come and ran away. Since then, Faheem alias ATM was continuously absconding. Following Faheem’s arrest, UP DGP had announced a reward of Rs 2.5 lakh and 4 STF teams were deployed to arrest him.
When caught, during interrogation, Faheem alias ATM said that he had absconded after getting parole from Sitapur District Jail and was active in Bengaluru, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and had carried out incidents of robbery, cash looting and jewelry theft by breaking into houses. . To avoid being caught by the police, Faheem would commit robberies in different cities in different states.
After committing the jewelery robbery/robbery incident in Chhattisgarh, he went to Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and then to Bengaluru in Karnataka and committed the jewelery robbery/robbery incident to avoid being caught by the police. Around 06 dozen cases of robbery, murder and dacoity were registered against Faheem alias ATM in Karnataka, Haryana, Rajasthan, Goa, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. The ATM also escaped police custody in the past.
