A horrific incident of mass murder has come to light in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, where a jeweler first poisoned his wife, two daughters and a son and then tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a train, but the Police Force Railway Protection. The staff saved him.
The incident came to light on Monday night when jeweler Mukesh Kumar Verma uploaded photographs of the dead bodies of his wife and children on his WhatsApp status. After seeing their condition, when the family members checked the rooms, their corpses were actually present there.
Giving information about the incident, Etawah Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar told PTI that the bodies of Mukesh Kumar’s wife Rekha, daughters Bhavya (22), Kavya (17) and son Abhisht (12 ) were found in different parts of the four-story building. They were recovered from different rooms. Mukesh Kumar Verma lived with his brothers in that building.
SSP Sanjay Kumar said that due to a family dispute, Mukesh Kumar Verma first killed his family members and then tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of the Marudhar Express at the railway station here. Seeing Mukesh jump on the railway track, people raised alarm, after which the RPF personnel present on the platform saved him.
Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar further said that Mukesh Kumar Verma suffered minor injuries during his attempt to commit suicide. The bodies of Mukesh’s wife and children recovered from his house have been sent for autopsy.
