UP PCS Exam 2024 New Date: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the Combined State/Higher Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 i.e. UP PCS Examination and released the new date of the examination. After four days of protests by the candidates in front of the UPPSC headquarters located in Prayagraj, the Commission accepted the candidates’ demand for “one day, one shift”. Now this exam will be conducted in a single day. The Commission has provided this information by publishing a notice on its official website.
In the latest notice published on the official website of UPPSC uppsc.up.nic.in, it is written: ‘Combined State/Higher Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 which was to be held in two days on 7th and 8th December 2024, will now be held in one day and will be held in two sessions on December 22, 2024. The first shift will be held from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and the second shift will be held from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. More than 10 lakh (10,76,004) candidates are expected to appear in this exam.
When will the UP RO/ARO recruitment exam be held?
Following the intervention of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Commission accepted the candidates’ demand to do away with ‘one day, one shift’ and normalisation. Following this decision, the Commission has made its official announcement by publishing a notice on its official website. However, the Commission has not yet provided any information regarding the date of UP PCS and RO/ARO exams. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the website for latest updates.
Student protest will end after four days
Regarding the protest, the student said that once the Commission issues the official letter, the protest will be ended. Now, after the official confirmation by the Commission, the students’ protest will end. We informed that the Commission had declared the dates of December 7 and 8 for the PCS preliminary examination, while for the RO and ARO preliminary examination the dates of December 22 and 23 have been declared.
