In a tragic road accident in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh, 3 people were killed and 8 seriously injured. The accident took place in Sultanpur village on Saturday night when an SUV collided with a tractor parked on the road.
According to police, the accident occurred when the SUV that was traveling at high speed suddenly collided with a parked tractor. As soon as information about the incident was received, SHO Omprakash Tiwari of Bachhrawan police station area reached the spot with the police team.
He said the injured were immediately taken to the nearby Community Health Centre, where after initial treatment, the seriously injured were referred to the District Hospital and then to the Lucknow Trauma Centre.
According to the news agency report, the deceased have been identified as Dhunnilal (40), Nirmala (40) and Ramesh (48), all residents of Rae Bareli district. All of the deceased and injured were traveling in the truck at the time of the accident.
Police said the main cause of the accident could be high speed and delay in seeing the truck parked on the road. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing. Police have asked local people to carefully observe vehicles parked on the street and strictly adhere to traffic rules.
