Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh received three awards in four months for its excellent work in the field of water management and conservation under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath. Which the department officials handed over to the Chief Minister on Thursday. Uttar Pradesh was ranked second in the country in the best state category for its excellent work in the field of water conservation and management, besides providing tap connections to all households in rural areas. Recently (October), President Draupadi Murmu gave this award to Uttar Pradesh, which was handed over to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday. In the best state category, Orissa ranked first and Gujarat-Puducherry jointly ranked third.
Uttar Pradesh won three awards in four months
Uttar Pradesh received three awards in four months under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Under Har Ghar Nal Yojana, Uttar Pradesh has provided tap water to most houses. The achievements of Uttar Pradesh were honoured. Uttar Pradesh received the Scotch Gold award on July 13 for the Ganga cleanliness drive and other river conservation works under the Clean Ganga Mission.
Uttar Pradesh received the Best Exhibition Award from Union Minister Giriraj Singh on September 27 for showcasing the works and achievements of Jal Jeevan Mission in Uttar Pradesh at the Noida International Trade Fair-2024. This award was also presented to the Chief Minister by the officials of the department.
On October 22, President Draupadi Murmu awarded the National Water Award to Uttar Pradesh for water conservation and provision of drinking water to every house in rural areas. Uttar Pradesh bagged second place in this category. Namami Gange and the Uttar Pradesh Rural Water Supply Department have created their own unique moment. This was also handed over to the Chief Minister on Thursday.

Namami Gange Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Srivastava presented this award to the Chief Minister on Thursday. The Chief Minister thanked the officials of Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply for this achievement. He also stated that as per the intention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh has achieved unprecedented achievements. Drinking water must be continuously available under the tap in all houses in rural areas. Special Secretary Brijraj Singh Yadav, Hydrologist Anupam Srivastava and Radhakrishna Tripathi etc. were also present during the meeting with the Chief Minister.
