Mahadev ji came to Kshirsagar Lord Vishnu with the gods. Seeing Lord Vishnu absorbed in yoga nidra on the bed of Sheshnag, the gods praised him. After which Lord Vishnu attacked Mur at the request of the gods. After killing many demons during the war, Lord Vishnu went to Badarika Ashram. There he fell asleep in a cave twelve yojanas long. Following them, the Mur demon also arrived at the cave. As soon as the peacock entered the cave, a girl armed with weapons was born from the body of Lord Vishnu. That girl destroyed the peacock just with her roar. Lord Vishnu was pleased with the girl. The girl’s name was Ekadashi. The date of his birth is called Utpana Ekadashi.
